How to Change Arrow Colors in Funky Friday

Funky Friday arrow colors are adjustable through Settings, letting you tone down bright notes or give every lane a different look. Hue, saturation, value, and transparency controls let you shape the result beyond simply picking a color. Save your current setup as a preset before experimenting so you can equip it again later.

Keybinds and arrow skins now live under Settings. Start there to access arrow customization, then work through the options for the key mode you play:

  1. Open the Customize tab in the arrow customization menu.
  2. Select your key mode from the sidebar, such as 4 Keys, 5 Keys, or 6 Keys.
  3. Select the arrow you want to edit.
  4. Open its Color subtab.
  5. Adjust the color controls.
  6. Repeat for the other arrows, then select Save to keep your changes.

Customize the mode you actually use. Selecting a different key mode brings up that mode’s arrow configuration, so check the selected mode before spending time adjusting individual lanes.

What Each Color Setting Does

The Color subtab gives you four main controls:

  • Hue: Changes the color itself. Use this to move an arrow toward purple, blue, green, or another shade.
  • Saturation: Changes the intensity of the color. Lower it for a more muted appearance; raise it for a stronger color.
  • Value: Changes how light or dark the color looks. Lower it to darken a shade or raise it to brighten one.
  • Transparency: Changes how see-through the arrow becomes. Increase transparency to fade the arrow.

Change one control at a time so you can tell which adjustment produced the result you wanted. If a purple arrow looks too pale, try increasing saturation. If the shade looks right but feels too bright, lower its value.

Keep Color and Style separate while editing. Style handles the arrow’s animation, direction, and art style. Use Color when you want a different shade; use Style when you want a different appearance or movement.

Special notes have their own customization area. Open the Notes tab to adjust the color and art style of Death and Poison Notes, rather than looking for those options among the regular arrows.

Build a Color Scheme You Can Read

Start by adjusting the colors you already recognize. Keep each lane’s existing hue and change saturation or value to make the appearance more comfortable.

For a purple theme, move each arrow’s hue toward purple, then adjust saturation and value until the shades look the way you want. Repeat those settings across the remaining arrows for a consistent palette. Keep track of the displayed numbers if you want to reproduce a particular shade.

Try these adjustments while refining your setup:

  • Lower value when a color feels too bright.
  • Reduce saturation when you want softer colors.
  • Keep arrows visible while experimenting with transparency.
  • Play a song after editing to judge the colors against the moving chart.

Test the finished palette during gameplay before making more changes. A color that looks appealing in the menu still needs to be easy for you to follow through a song.

Save and Equip Your Arrow Presets

Presets let you keep multiple arrow configurations without rebuilding each one whenever you want to switch.

To save a configuration:

  1. Open the Presets tab.
  2. Select the key mode whose configuration you want to save.
  3. Enter a name under Enter Preset Name.
  4. Select the green Save button.

Use descriptive names such as “Muted Colors” or “Purple” so you can recognize each setup later. Select Equip beside a saved preset to apply it, or Delete to remove that entry.

The customization menu also includes Reset for returning to default settings. Save a preset of your preferred configuration before using it, especially if you have also changed keybinds, arrow size, speed, or lane offsets.
