Funky Friday Lane Height Offset: Settings Explained

What Should You Set Lane and Height Offset To?

For Funky Friday lane height offset settings, start with both values at 0. A readable playfield matters when you're following fast patterns, but changing every layout setting at once makes adjustments harder to judge. Leave the offsets at zero while you work on arrow speed, size, and visibility.

SettingStarting value
Lane Offset0
Height Offset0

Use these as starting values rather than chasing a special accuracy setting. If your arrows already feel comfortable to read, keep the offsets there. Avoid entering arbitrary values just to copy a different-looking layout.

Where to Find the Offset Controls

Keybinds and arrow skins are now under Settings. Within Arrow Customization, the detailed arrow controls include speed, size, lane offset, and height offset.

To reach those controls:

  1. Open Arrow Customization through the game's settings.
  2. Select the Customize tab.
  3. Choose the key mode you play, such as 4 Keys, 5 Keys, or 6 Keys.
  4. Select the arrow you want to customize.
  5. Open its Settings subtab.
  6. Adjust the relevant values, then use Save to keep your changes.

The Keybinds subtab handles button mapping; the Settings subtab contains the detailed arrow adjustments.

Within Keybinds, the left window lets you add bindings, while the right window lists active bindings. Click Delete beside an active binding to remove it. Use Reset to restore default settings or Save to keep your changes. The default four-key controls support A, S, W, D and the corresponding directional arrow keys.

For visual changes, open Color to adjust hue, saturation, color value, and transparency. The Style subtab offers arrow animation, direction, and art style controls. Special notes have their own customization area: open the Notes tab to change the colors and art styles of Death and Poison Notes.

After finishing your customization, use Presets to save a named arrow profile. Select the key mode, enter a preset name, and click the green Save button. Use Equip beside a saved preset to apply it later.

Adjust Arrow Speed and Size Before Experimenting Further

With both offsets at zero, try the controls that directly address how quickly and how large the arrows appear:

Funky Friday — Adjust Arrow Speed and Size Before Experimenting Further

  • Arrow Speed: 2.0. Try this as a starting point. Increase it if the notes feel too slow, or decrease it if they move too quickly to follow.
  • Arrow Size: 1.2. Try this larger size if 1.0 looks too small, particularly when playing in a window instead of full screen.

Change one setting at a time so you can judge its effect. Keep a familiar song handy for comparisons, and save a preset once the combination feels comfortable.

Keep your usual scroll direction during these adjustments. If you're accustomed to upscroll, stick with it; if you already use downscroll, keep that enabled. Switching direction adds another adjustment while you're trying to settle your layout.

Clear Distractions From the Playfield

If reading notes still feels difficult, try the visibility controls before changing the offsets again:

Funky Friday — Clear Distractions From the Playfield

  • Disable camera movement to remove the camera's side-to-side motion during battles.
  • Enable Middle Scroll if you prefer your own arrows centered.
  • Hide spectators and seated players to reduce distractions around the stage.
  • Disable note effects, Arrow Fade, and Pressed Arrow Glow if you prefer fewer visual effects.
  • Set Scroll Underlay Transparency to 0 for a black background behind the notes.

Enable the Info Bar and Judgment Statistic display when comparing settings. They let you watch accuracy, combo, and judgment results while deciding whether the layout feels easier to play.

The judgment display breaks results into marvelous, perfect, good, and misses. Enable Note Hit Time when recording gameplay if you want viewers to see the timing of individual hits. If your PC struggles with FPS, lower Roblox's graphics quality to 1 instead of keeping it at maximum.
