How to Play With Touch Controls
A crowded screen makes fast notes harder to follow. Start your Funky Friday mobile setup by enabling Mobile Tile Buttons for touch play. Then adjust the note display so you can follow patterns without the stage competing for your attention.
Open Funky Friday on Roblox to get started. Keybinds and arrow skins are under Settings, so head there when customizing your controls and note appearance.
Experiment with arrow size and lane offset until the chart feels comfortable to read. Change one setting at a time so you can tell which adjustment helps. Leave advanced timing offsets alone while you work on the basic layout.
Reduce Visual Load on Your Phone
If gameplay feels sluggish, start with the optimization options. Use these settings to remove scenery and effects while keeping your own notes visible:

- Hide Lobby: Enable it to hide the lobby.
- Hide Map: Enable it to hide the map during battles.
- Disable Opponent Arrows: Enable it to stop generating your opponent’s arrows.
- Toggle Spectate Mode: Turn it off.
- Toggle Materials: Turn it off.
- Toggle Shadows: Turn it off.
- Toggle Props: Turn it off.
Prioritize your own chart when dense songs become difficult to follow. Removing the opponent’s arrows is especially useful when both sides fill the screen with notes.
For moving distractions, disable Toggle Camera Movement. Turn off Toggle Camera Directional Movement if animation-driven camera motion pulls your attention away from the lanes. Enable Hide Spectators to hide spectators and their chat bubbles during stage battles.
Make Notes Easier to Read
Scroll speed, arrow size, and lane placement deserve separate adjustments. Increase or decrease scroll speed until you can recognize incoming patterns comfortably; pushing it higher is not a goal by itself.

Try Middle Scroll if you prefer your arrows centered. Experiment with Down Scroll to see whether notes traveling from top to bottom feel more natural. Keep the direction you find easier to follow.
For a clearer playfield:
- Adjust Scroll Underlay Transparency between 0 and 0.6 to give notes a more visible background. A value of 0 is fully opaque; 1 is transparent.
- Disable Toggle Note Effect if animated effects on Sicks distract you.
- Turn off Arrow Glow Speed if the glow on presses makes the lanes harder to read.
- Disable Missed Note Sound if it interrupts your concentration.
Use Info Bar to follow accuracy, misses, and combo, or choose Toggle Accuracy Gauge if you prefer that display. Start with one to keep the interface simpler.
Practice Timing Without Building Bad Habits
Start with songs you can follow, then move to charts slightly outside your comfort zone. Repeatedly tapping through patterns you cannot read encourages habits that are harder to correct later.

Use solo play with Toggle Bot Play when you want a bot opponent. Bot Accuracy sets its average accuracy, letting you adjust that opponent while practicing.
Keep these options in mind:
- Deathmatch Game Mode: Leave it off while learning. It adds in-game death when you lose.
- Modcharts: Leave them off until you can comfortably handle the songs that use them.
- Multi-key Game Mode: Adds charts with more than four keys. Leave it off while concentrating on four-key patterns.
- Toggle Ghost Tapping: Allows presses when no notes are arriving without adding misses. It does not prevent misses from dropped notes or incorrect inputs.
Rotate through different songs to practice different patterns. Take breaks, and stop if your hands hurt.
Adjust Timing Offsets Only for Timing Problems
Arrow Offset delays arrow generation, while Hitbox Offset delays the hitbox. Leave both unchanged unless you are addressing a timing offset problem.
Avoid copying another player’s offset value. Work on reading the chart and hitting notes consistently before changing these advanced controls. If you do adjust them, change one at a time and compare your timing judgments.
What the Paid Passes Change
The two game passes affect animation customization and points:
| Game pass | Price | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Animation Customization | 399 Robux | Equip multiple animations and change animation speed, size, rate, and shake intervals |
| 2x Points | 349 Robux | Permanently double points gained at the end of each song |
If you customize animations, keep their movement from distracting you during dense patterns. Choose an animation you can comfortably ignore while watching the notes.
